The poems of this poetry collection were written at the front, but they are not about the war. They are about people who love more than they fear. Who were here and did not leave here. In this language, soldiers remember their loved ones, and children write letters on pages of school notebooks. It speaks of pain and hope. They say goodbye and love. Artur Dron's book "We Were Here" is illustrated with the works of Kateryna Sad and excerpts from letters that the military received from children. Perhaps this is the best way to talk about difficult times. Combining our different experiences into a common utterance. Calling our pain and hope by name.
