Historical linguistics is one of the oldest fields of linguistics. In this field, attention is paid to how language changes over time. Linguistic changes in some varieties of a language are so intense that they cause linguistic division and the emergence of a new language or dialect. In the descriptive culture of historical linguistics, common concepts and terms related to these changes have been given. The audience of this culture are researchers, professors, students, and all those who are interested in these changes and related processes.
