Marwa Nabili (born 1320), a poet and filmmaker who spent most of her life from the second half of the 1340s onwards, first in Europe and then in the United States of America, is known as one of the first female filmmakers in Iran. However, he also had a hand in writing poetry, especially in the first half of the 1340s. مروا نبیلی (متولد 1320)، شاعر و سینماگری که بخش اعظم عمرش از نیمۀ دوم دهۀ 1340 به بعد، ابتدا در اروپا و سپس در ایالات متحدۀ امریکا گذشته است، بیشتر به‌عنوان یکی از نخستین زنان سینماگر در ایران شناخته شده است. با این‌همه، او به‌ویژه در نیمۀ نخست دهۀ 1340 در سرودن شعر نیز دستی داشت. او در این دوره، در حوزۀ ادبیات و هنر از آموزش‌های استادانش، سهراب سپهری و فریدون رهنما بهره می‌برد. در کتاب حاضر، علاوه بر آگاهی‌ها و تحلیل‌های تاریخی و ادبی و هنری دربارۀ تکاپوهای ادبی و سینمایی مروا، متن کامل دفتر شعر او، که از سال‌های نخست دهۀ 1340 باقی مانده و به دست ما رسیده، برای نخستین بار در دسترس دوستداران شعر نوی ایران قرار گرفته است.
