An allegorical and shocking novel from Livaneli... A coup leader settles on a paradise island, where everyone is satisfied with everything, to spend his retirement years. The President is determined to use his destructive potential, which is deeply embedded in his soul, by taking advantage of his past political power. In this regard, it initiates interventions that will affect the entire island. These interventions, which seem ordinary at first, will eventually lead to turning the enemy against the enemy. All living things, including the islanders, especially the seagulls, will receive their share of the President's cruelty. Meanwhile, some voices resist this seemingly unstoppable trend. In Son Ada, Livaneli gives an allegorical narrative of the events that we are all familiar with in an imaginary country, while also revealing the consequences of political and personal ambitions and interventions in society and nature.
