The ups and downs of the government of the democratic faction of Azerbaijan between the fall of 1324 and the fall of the following year are one of the most important events in the contemporary history of Iran, but what distinguishes this event from other similar developments that took place in the same days in other Soviet-occupied areas in Eastern and Central Europe What distinguishes it is its final part. That is, the withdrawal of the Russians from the area under their occupation in Azerbaijan, and then the overnight fall of the government that the Russians had spent five years preparing and establishing. What is presented in this collection are the reports of this story written by the political officials of the United States and the United Kingdom during the same period.

فراز و فرود حکومت فرقة دموکرات آذربایجان در فاصله پاییز ۱۳۲۴ تا پاییز سال بعد یکی از مهمترین وقایع تاریخ معاصر ایران است ولی آنچه این واقعه را از دیگر تحولات مشابهی که در همان ایام در دیگر حوزه های تحت اشغال شوروی در اروپای شرقی و مرکزی جریان داشت متمایز میکند بخش پایانی آن است. یعنی عقب نشینی روسها از حوزه تحت اشغال آنها در آذربایجان و آنگاه سقوط یک شبه حکومتی که روسها پنج سال صرف تهیه و برپایی آن کرده بودند. آنچه در این مجموعه ارائه میشود گزارشهایی است از این ماجرا به قلم مقامات سیاسی ایالات متحده و بریتانیا در همان دوره.
