The discourse of Karbala is the main source and basis for the formation of the Minsk ritual system and the mythological system of Shiite culture. This ritual system has been one of the most important factors for the survival of Shiism throughout history. The study of this ritual system from the point of view of new sciences and especially anthropology is of special importance for understanding the Shia culture. In this book, mourning rituals and their different dimensions are discussed with an anthropological approach. In the first part of the book, based on the theoretical tradition of anthropology in the study of the mythological system of culture (as the core and semantic prism of culture and society), an attempt has been made to formulate a framework for understanding Shia culture and its central semantic system. In the next sections, the history of mourning rites in Shiism is examined with an anthropological approach, and when and under what conditions mourning was formed, and what role did different texts related to mourning rites play in the formation of the system of Muharram mourning rituals and the discourse of Karbala. has taken.
