The book "New Structure, Security, Peace and Cooperation in the Persian Gulf" is written by Seyed Hossein Mousavian, a former ambassador and senior official in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran. He is currently teaching and researching at Princeton University about the security structure of the Persian Gulf, Iran's nuclear negotiations, developments in West Asia, and Iran-US relations. The main topic of the book is to explain the background and historical and political causes of the tense relations between Iran and the governments of the Persian Gulf, especially Saudi Arabia. Mousaviyan, who has been in the ups and downs of relations between Iran and the members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council due to his background and positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was able to express new and original points about the history of cooperation and conflict between them in the field of diplomacy. In this book, the evolution of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia as the most powerful member of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council has an important place and has been discussed more. Mousaviyan believes that the differences and tensions between the governments of the Persian Gulf, including Iran and the members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, can be moderated and managed through the collective security and cooperation system and the mechanisms of establishing continuous and trust-building dialogue.
