What is famous in this field and has been translated into Farsi is a history of Western philosophy by Bertrand Russell, a great philosopher of the 20th century, and another one, which is much more detailed and goes into the substantive issues of philosophy more than Russell, is Frederick Capleston's history of philosophy.
