Mansour Kandriz is among the artists who have followed their creative work based on a specific thought and vision. The background of Kandariz's approach to the cultural and artistic heritage of the past goes back to his periods of primitivism and mythology, which at least theoretically formed the basis of his Saqakhaneh orientation. It was important for him to find the roots of the eastern culture, to review the Iranian visual traditions and to consciously use the achievements of modern western artists in order to be able to recognize himself as a modern Iranian artist.

منصور قندریز در زمره هنرمندانی است که کار خلاقه خود را بر اساس اندیشه و بینش مشخصی دنبال کرده اند. پیشینه رویکرد قندریز به میراث فرهنگی و هنری گذشتگان به دوره های بدوی گرایی و اسطوره گرایی او باز می گردد که دست کم به لحاظ نظری زمینه ساز جهت گیری سقاخانه ای وی بوده است. ضرورت ریشه یابی فرهنگ شرقی، بازنگری در سنت های تصویری ایرانی و بهره گیری آگاهانه از دستاوردهای هنرمندان مدرن غربی از آن جهت برای او مهم بود که بتواند خود را به عنوان یک هنرمند ایرانی امروزی بشناساند.
