پرسش هاي بسياري درباره ي نقش زنان در فلسفه ي سياسي وجود دارد از جمله: آيا موضوعي به نام زن در فلسفه ي سياسي كلاسيك (متعارف) جايي داشته است و اگر چنين نيست، چرا؟ و يا با توجه به بحث هاي فلسفي و نظريه هاي سياسي كه درباره ي جايگاه مناسب زنان در امور اجتماعي و سياسي صورت گرفته است: آيا اين امور به زنان كمك خواهد كرد تا به حقوق مدني، سياسي، اجتماعي و رسمي خود دست يابند؟ و... شايسته است براي پاسخگويي به اين پرسش ها به آثار فرهيختگان و انديشمندان اين رشته از جمله افلاطون ، ارسطو و... رجوع كنيم.
