This Pahlavi chrestomathy is divided into two sections. The first section deals with 20 samples of rock and gravestone inscriptions together with their transliterations (that is based on their written sign values and not their assumed pronunciations), Persian translations and finally the most important scholarly references to each inscription. In the second section samples of inscriptions on coins, seals, sealing also together with their transcriptions transliterations and Persian translations are presented.

اين كتاب منتخباتي از كتيبه هاي پهلوي است كه به دو بخش تقسيم شده اند. بخش اول كه شامل ٢٠ نمونه از صخره و سنگ نوشته هاي مقبره ايست همراه با حرف به حرف نويسي (كه بر اساس ارزش علائم نوشته شده آنهاست و نه بر اساس تلفظات فرضي)، ترجمه فارسي و در آخر مهمترين منبع معتبر علمي هر كدام از نوشته ها. در بخش دوم نمونه هايي از نوشته هاي روي سكه، مهر و ظرف نبشته است كه همراه با آوانويسي حرف به حرف و ترجمه فارسي معرفي شده اند.
