"Al-Sirah al-Falsafiyyah" is one of the two remaining complete books of Razi, which is dedicated to a philosophical topic. In this book, he defends a moderate lifestyle completely separates himself from asceticism, and leaves the world. In addition, Razi in this book allows physical pleasure as long as it exceeds the limit. Although the first and last part of the book "Al-Sirah al-Philosophia" is in defense of Razi's biography, the middle part includes the description of the biography that every philosopher should have... In this edition, in addition to the republishing of the Arabic text and translation by Abbas Iqbal, two parts have been added to the book.

«السیرة الفلسفیة » یكی از دو کتاب کامل باقی مانده از رازی است که به موضوعی فلسفی اختصاص دارد. او در این کتاب از سبک زندگی معتدل دفاع کرده و خود را یکسره از زهد و ترک دنیا جدا میکند. افزون بر این، رازی در این کتاب لذت جسمانی را مجاز می داند تا زمانی که از حد تجاوز کند اگرچه قسمت نخست و پایانی کتاب «السیرة الفلسفیة» در مدافعه از سیرت رازی است؛ لیکن قسمت میانی متضمن شرح سیرتی است که هر فیلسوفی باید بدان متصف باشد.... ترجمة «السیرة الفلسفیة » نخستین بار در سال 1315 منتشر شد. در چاپ حاضر افزون بر انتشار مجدد متن عربی و ترجمه عباس اقبال، دو بخش به کتاب افزوده شده است .
