Hakob Karapentes, an Armenian storyteller, poet, and journalist, in his most famous and popular novel, The Book of Adam, tells the story of a journalist who left America and felt homesick. Of course, homesickness is not his only problem and he searches for his identity and authenticity through this passage. At the same time, he is involved in the same constant concern of humans, that is, love. In addition, in this novel, the author has a glimpse of the historical conflicts between Armenians and Turks, which has come to the top of the news again these days.

هاکوب کاراپنتس، داستان نویس، شاعر و روزنامه نگار ارمنی، در مشهورترین و محبوب ترین رمان خود، کتاب آدام، داستان روزنامه نگاری را بازگو می کند که به امریکا جلای وطن کرده و احساس غم غربت می کند. البته که غم غربت تنها مساله ی او نیست و او از این رهگذر به جستجوی هویت و اصالت خود می پردازد. ضمن اینکه او درگیر همان دغدغه ی همیشگی انسان هاست، یعنی عشق. علاوه بر آن، نویسنده در این رمان، نیم نگاهی به منازعات تاریخی ارامنه و ترک ها دارد که این روزها دوباره به صدر اخبار آمده است.
