Kate lives in Cambridge, England at the beginning of the 20th century. She plays the role of a spirit for a medium, but people who do not believe in these things turn away the medium and Kate becomes homeless. In search of discovering the secret of his past and his father, he goes to Summerfield College and meets Elsie and Asher, two other people who are fugitives from their past.
