میان راست و دروغ، میان سفید و سیاه، ایستاده بود باورش نداشت نه او را و نه هم سطح هایش را مگر ممکن بود میان این همه آزادی و رفاه ماند و فاسد نشد؟ نمیتوانست باور کند. شاید هم نمیخواست از اینکه در مقابل حرفهای ساده دخترک همیشه یک قدم عقب تر میماند کلافه بود. چشم روی هم گذاشت و آب دهانش را با زور قورت داد
یک جریان قوی میان عقل و دلش در کشمکش بود احساسش نگاه معصوم دخترک را نشانه میگرفت و عقلش موقعیت زندگی اش را اما یک چیز را مطمئن بود اگر این دختر واقعا معصوم می بود. اگر فرد اشتباهی را برای این بازی انتخاب کرده بود بی شک جایی میان این صفحه ی شطرنجی به بدترین شکل ممکن زمین گیر می شد و دقیقا همان جا بود که در اوج پیروزی بزرگ ترین باخت زندگی اش را تجربه می کرد.
