This book was chose as the best research of the year by Vizarat-i Farhang va Irshad-i Islami. The goal of this research with rejecting and aspects of traditional play and its reflection in play writing in contemporary Iran, recognizing the factors and essentials of traditional play of Iran (minstrelsy, displaying art, puppets plays, pleasure plays, passion play) and finding how these factors effect on Iran's contemporary play writing.

اين كتاب از سوي وزارت فرهنگ و ارشاد اسلامي به عنوان پژوهش سال برگزيده شد. هدف از انجام اين تحقيق با رد و نمايه نمايش سنتي و انعكاس آن در نمايشنامه نويسي معاصر ايران، شناسايي عناصر و اصول نمايش سنتي ايران (نقالي، معركه گيري، نمايش هاي عروسكي، نمايش هاي شادي آور، تعزيه) و پي بردن به چگونگي نفوذ اين عناصر در نمايشنامه نويسي معاصر ايران بود.
