This book is the culmination of nearly fifty years of field research by a team of Japanese scholars in the Marvdasht region of Fars Province, Iran. Focusing on the village of Kheyrabad and surrounding areas, the authors explore the socio-economic and political transformations from the 1970s to the 2020s.
