Amirreza Kohestani, writer and theater director, was born on June 18, 1357 in Shiraz. At the age of 21, he became known in the Iranian theater by performing his first play Tales of Darghoshi at the Fajr Festival, and two years later the play Dance on a Glass gave him world fame.
As evidenced by the reception of the audience and critics as well as the performance of his works in international festivals, his other plays such as Quartet, Ivanov, The Fourth Wall, and Sal Gestaggi are known as the most important theater performances of the last twenty years.

امیررضا کوهستانی، نویسنده و کارگردان تئاتر، متولد 18 خرداد 1357 در شیراز است. در 21 سالگی، با اجرای اولین نمایشش به نام قصه‌های درگوشی در جشنواره فجر در تئاتر ایران شناخته شد و دو سال بعد نمایش‌نامه رقص روی لیوان به او شهرتی جهانی بخشید.
به گواه استقبال مخاطبان و منتقدان و همچنین اجرای آثارش در جشنواره‌های بین‌المللی، دیگر نمایش‌نامه‌های او از جمله کوارتت، ایوانف، دیوار چهارم و سال گشتگی از مهم‌ترین اجراهای بیست سال اخیر تئاتر شناخته می‌شوند.
