An American novel. The present book is narration of the colonialists' sufferings. They have such a great suffering which is mitigated hard. "Barbara Wood" who is one of the members of medical and cure staff, talks about the events that happen to 3 generations of colonialists, through a complete fineness and unique delicacy, from the relationship between the migrants themselves from one hand and African natives from other, and also their loves and disappointments. The writer has such an ability in process of the scenes of the story that the reader feels she should be from the 2nd or 3rd English exiled generations of Kenya

رمان آمريكايي. اين كتاب روايت رنج هاي استعمارگران است. آنها را دردي است عظيم كه دشوار تسكين يابد. "باربارا وود" كه خود از جمله كادر پزشكي و درماني است، با لطافتي تمام و ظرافتي بي همانند از حوادثي كه بر 3 نسل استعمارگران مي گذرد سخن مي گويد و نيز رابطه ميان مهاجران، بين خودشان از يك سوي و مهاجران و بوميان آفريقايي از سويي ديگر، و از عشق و ناكامي هايشان مي نويسد. نويسنده در پردازش صحنه هاي داستان چنان توانايي دارد كه خواننده احساس مي كند بايد از نسل دوم ويا سوم انگليسي هاي رانده شده از كنيا باشد.
